Hi Steve,
... Thank you very much for all you have done for Mitch in his development as both a cricketer and a young man, he really looks up to you. ...I was wondering if you had time to give Mitch some batting coaching this term. He has been going well, but I think he needs to work on some things or at least get his technique checked. He practices quite a bit but he doesn't actually get any coaching. He made a rep team during the holidays and really enjoyed getting a taste for the higher level of cricket. The people involved with that were very impressed with his ability and his attitude (which you can certainly take the credit for). I don't think he needs a weekly session or anything like that, perhaps just 2 or 3 40 minute workouts spread out over the term to give him some feedback and correction. I can continue to throw balls at him in the nets (as long as my shoulder holds up) and he will have 1 or 2 practices at school per week. You have got him this far with his development, he has decided that cricket is going to be his main sport now, so he wants to see how far he can go.
Thanks,
Jon Dearness
