Hinze Dam
Sports Tuition reports that the best fishing has been well into the dam. Bass have scattered in the far upper reaches. Working the small inlets and points of the upper reaches has only netted the odd bass, silver perch and yellowbelly. A 44cm silver perch was caught, which has been the best silver for quite a while. Bass are schooling, and have been caught in great numbers, around the back of Ian's Island. It's quite a distance to travel to this location from the Numinbah ramp, but the trip is definitely worth it at the moment. The majority of bass have been caught using live shrimp. However, Taylor-Made deep diving lures in fluoro pink have also picked up a couple of good size bass trolling.

Catch of the Week - There were plenty of good fish caught this week, but a Silver Perch is a rare catch at Hinze and at 44cm, it was a solid fish.
