School Holiday Camps

July 2015 School Holiday Survivor Camp (8-13 year olds) Review

There were some interesting challenges on the winter school holiday survivor camp. The camp was held on 7-9 July 2015. It was a smaller group, which enabled plenty of challenges to be integrated throughout the program. The students competed for points during the camp and the milk crate climb produced some outstanding results. The fishing also produced some nice catches, with some solid bass and eel tailed catfish among the catch. Crazy as it may sound, the camp regulars where keen to be involved in boat tube rides, even though the water temperature was 16.7 degrees, so I relented to the pressure. Kids don’t seem to feel the cold, although, Orlando couldn’t feel his legs after the activity! Nothing a hot shower couldn’t fix though. Congratulations to Emma & Ewan who took out the Ultimate Survivor prizes. Special thanks to L. Wilson & Co, Berkley and Bush n Beach Fishing Magazine for donating the prizes for the camp.

Thanks Steve, Ewan had a blast out there. Thanks for running such a great event during the school holidays - get the kids away from the ipads/playstations etc. Cheers, Jeff.

Great photos. They had an awesome time! Thank you very much. Best regards, Michelle Loveday
