About Sports Tuition

For the past nine years Sports Tuition has been a company combining education and exhilaration. Sports Tuition offers a variety of activities for primary & secondary school children and their parents. Sports Tuition also offers a variety of corporate and club activities. Activities include ½ day and full day fishing charters, fishing weekends, fishing competitions, corporate team building events, school camps, school holiday camps and sports coaching.


All Sports Tuition staff members hold a current Child Suitability Card (Blue Card), current first aid and relevant qualifications for the activities.

Sports Tuition is a member of the Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation and the Outdoor Educators' Association of Queensland.

July 2009 Family Fishing Weekend

Location:

Hinze Dam, Gold Coast
  • All children must be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian
  • Fish in electric powered craft, using live shrimp
  • Hinze Dam is stocked with Australian bass, yellowbelly, silver perch, Saratoga and Mary River cod.
  • Weekend is fully catered
  • Cabin accommodation
  • All fishing gear is supplied

You need to bring the following:
  • Sheets/blanket (sleeping bag) & pillow
  • Towel
  • Toiletries
  • Torch
  • Wet-weather gear

Weekend commences at 8:00am on Saturday and concludes Midday Sunday.

June 2009 Survivor Camp

Open to boys and girls 8-13 years old

Cost:

$195 for one family member
$365 for two family members
$515 for three family members

3 Day Camp Includes:

  • Initiative, Problem Solving, Reward and Challenge Activities
  • Abseiling, Canoeing & Archery
  • Night Activities
  • All meals
  • Tent Accommodation (All tents and self-inflatable air mattresses are provided, however, housing accommodation is also available, so a decision will be made on the accommodation depending on the weather conditions.)
  • Prizes & Give-a-ways
  • Limited places available
  • A bus service will be provided in the form of a luxury coach with air conditioning and seat belts.  Pick up and drop off points will be Dreamworld, Logan Hyperdome & Churchie.  Please contact me if you would like an additional pick up/drop off point, but it will be dependent on numbers.  Pick up and drop off times will be emailed to those participants who indicate on their registration form that they intend to use this service.  The cost of the bus service will be shared amongst the users.  The return trip is not expected to exceed $45.  Once numbers and costs are confirmed, users will be notified of the amount, which will be payable in cash as the students board the bus.
Maroon Dam is located approximately 90 minutes from Brisbane & 90 minutes from the Gold Coast.
